Bjarne is going to sing for the reindeer
Ahead of Christmas 2000, the front-page banner explains that Bjarne has to sleep through breakfast, lunch and dinner. He has promised to go with a big fat man with a white beard and sing for the reindeer.
When the server needed a rest, Bjarne got to explain it. He did it better than we did.
- The man was going to run ”errands in a VERY large number of places”, and Bjarne was not to be woken.
- The text was written by EvaE and replaced a banner saying the site would be taken down on Friday 22 December.
- The month before, a hardware swap was explained by Bjarne having to operate ”with a magnifying glass, tweezers, a screwdriver and curling tongs”.
