“Remember the SuperStajlare?”: the seed of PRO
Rickard and CEO Kjell Sallén sketch a paid membership for dedicated LunarStorm members: more status, a fast lane and a stamp of authenticity. The model: the SuperStajlare of the Stajl days.
PRO wasn’t born in a week. It was born on Stajl Plejs, where the most dedicated got to be SuperStajlare.
- The ideas: their own faster servers (“fast lane”), a stamp of authenticity, faster photo approval, free VÅJS, a “SuperLunar parliament” of their own and first access to new features.
- Kjell followed up with a Delphi survey two days later.
- In August 2001 the company TRIC proposed a shared paywall for Swedish sites. Kjell and Rickard: “OUT OF THE QUESTION”, young people can’t pay for themselves.
