LunarStorm buys 40% of Bilddagboken
New CEO Mikko Ollinen and a new board. LunarStorm buys 40% of Bilddagboken for SEK 4 million and makes the gallery free.
Bilddagboken was a smart buy. It was the heir that had to face Facebook for real, not LunarStorm.
- Bilddagboken (the picture diary) was started in 2004 by Linköping students Joakim Grönvall and Sebastian Björkelid.
- The free “Gallery” replaced the paid service Kollage.
- About 1.1 million unique visitors a week (the Swedish advertising and media magazine Resumé).
- Lindstedt: later the same year the rest of Bilddagboken and 57% of Tyda were bought.
