Stajl Plejs attracts girls from the start. The gender split is roughly 50/50, unique on the net in 1996.
Having a site in '96 with a 50/50 gender split was pretty unusual.
- Stajl Plejs was deliberately built with features for women (the Jurassic LunarStorm document).
- Mitt i 2016: the strategy was to attract the girls first, and the boys would follow.
- The IT publisher IDG, September 1999: 43 % girls.
- Rickard in Mitt i 2016: ”I created an environment that I wanted myself, a safe place you could say, which was also deliberately girly. My strategy was that if I managed to attract the girls, the boys would come too.”
