The Aspiro deal: 5 million in the middle of the crash
The mobile company Aspiro signs a deal worth SEK 5 million with LunarWorks for mobile services and webmail and becomes a part owner. The situation is ”precarious”.
In the middle of the dotcom crash we needed every krona. Mobile became our path to the first revenue.
- On 5 December 2000 the company raised SEK 800,000; CEO Kjell Sallén called the situation ”precarious” and made revenue the top priority.
- Rickard was put in charge of advertising revenue.
- According to Kjell, the ”mobile story” brought in SEK 6 million in the winter of 2000/01.
