Record: 46,866 logged in at once
One Thursday evening 46,866 members are logged in at the same time and traffic reaches 291 Mbit/s, levels the tech team had not expected until the end of the year.
Every record was a party for five minutes and a crisis for five weeks.
- The presentation log had to be switched off, and in April the visitor log was disconnected too.
- In February a network fault had taken the site down for twelve hours, on the night of 25 to 26 Feb.
- The bandwidth record on 29 Nov 2004: 540 Mbit/s.
