RIP the chat, 1996 to 2004
The web chat and the Java/IRC chat close: few users and too expensive to modernise. Rickard writes the obituary.
RIP 1996-2004 Stajl Plejs' first feature.
- The chat was where it all began in 1996. The profile, the guestbook and the rest were built so things would happen even when you weren't online.
- The old JavaChatten got an afterlife on the UK site in December 2005.
