Paid registration is stopped

Everything is ready to charge new members. At the last minute management backs down: voluntary paid services first. The decision paves the way for Kolla, Lajv and PRO.

• Rickard in February 2003: running the site cost almost SEK 2 million a month with 26 full-time staff, and advertising wasn’t enough. Hence add-on services instead of a fee for everyone.
• “And that’s how it will stay,” Rickard replied in 2003 to a member worried about a membership fee.
