Dagens Media and Resumé: Web classic Lunarstorm rises again
The day after the 30th anniversary, the Swedish media trade magazine Dagens Media and the advertising and media magazine Resumé write about the jubilee site: the timeline, the jubilee film with Rick's AI-cloned voice, the walk through Lunarcave and the answers to old mysteries from 47,000 emails.
What would have taken a year by hand took a few days. But I decided every word.
- The article was published in both Dagens Media and Resumé. It describes LunarStorm as a meeting place that shaped a whole generation, and the jubilee site as AI-built.
- The article recalls that 78 percent of all Swedes aged 13 to 20 visited LunarStorm every week when the site was at its biggest in 2004.
- Rick is also quoted on the core idea: “We didn't build a site for the cool kids. We built a site for everyone else.”
- The same afternoon Göteborgs-Posten, the Gothenburg daily, published a short news item saying that LunarStorm is rising again after 30 years.
- Two days later, on 21 October, the Swedish news app Omni summarised the article under the headline “Lunarstorm gets a new life, 30 years after its internet debut” and linked to the jubilee site and the LunarFjårtiz quiz.
